This years Met Gala had a Punk - chaos to Couture theme, so I knew some of the styles would be cray cray this year!
I've looked through all the photo's and made a little list of my best and worst hair and makeup looks.
Not in the list is Madonna who gets a special mention now for keeping me freaked out yet again with her disturbing look.... she honestly scares me. Anyway...
Firstly lets start with my worst.
It's not the makeup that I didn't like, I actually do quite like it, its her hair. It offends me deeply. I know she's going through this 90's grunge faze at the moment but it just looks wrong, I just HATE it!
I'm a full brow fan, I like them big, I like them bushy, I basically like them visible. This is looked totally weird to me, close up it doesn't look as bad, but just look below at the entire look. It looks like those photo's floating around online of celebrities without brows!
Now this next look I can't decide if I love or hate it.
Once again I like the makeup, really like the deep lips and winged lashes, but the hair? Now this either looks full on couture/avant garde/fashion dahhling or like she's walked into Pound Land and picked up a bottle of crazy colour spray and just went a bit mad. Look at the back too, your glam squad should of cleaned your neck up guurl!
Now for my best looks of the night
I love these maroon smokey eyes on her, they make her green eyes pop! She still needs to paint a smile on her face though, cheer up love. Makeup artist was Beau Nelson using Chanel.
What's not to love? Big, full brows, flirty wispy lashes, gorgeous contouring and a deep plum lip! Her skin looks so dewy, fresh & flawless. Round of applause for her Makeup Artist.
There's probably nothing I don't like about this! She just looks amazing, and I want that dress but it probably costs £10283630 and I only have a River Island/Topshop budget!
So this Met Gala was a bit of fun and the some of celebs did go all out with the theme, so fair play to them (even the ones in my worst list!)
Another special mention goes to Kim Kardashian who was wearing a dress designed by the same person who makes my nan's curtains - somewhere by TJ's I think. Matching shoes too, jazzy!
